The standard tier has a wide price range because resurfacing your rotors costs less than replacing them. If the rotors are too thin to resurface, the bill can go from about $130 to nearly $400 per axle.
It says Firestone bills labor from flat rate manuals, usually one to two hours per axle. At shop rates of $120 to $220 an hour, that is $120 to $440 in labor before parts. You pay the same labor whether the job takes 45 minutes or runs long.
NuBrakes describes the standard tier as including brake pads with a lifetime warranty, rotor resurfacing or replacement, and a 1 year or 12,000 mile labor warranty. ThePricer found a Firestone quote of $378.36 for front pads and rotors on a Nissan Altima in Nashville, and a Kenosha customer who paid over $800 for a two axle brake job.
