The LSAT costs $253
LSAC charges $253 to take the LSAT from August 2026 through June 2027, and the price is the same for retakes. Most law school applicants also need the Credential Assembly Service (CAS), which costs $219, plus $45 for each law school report. The LSAT fee includes LSAT Argumentative Writing.

What this price covers
The $253 covers one LSAT. CAS is a separate service that collects your transcripts, letters and scores and sends them to law schools. Law schools charge their own application fees on top.
