    What pushes a quote up

WorkloadsMore servers, containers and functions mean a bigger quote.
ModulesCode, Defend and Sensor are sold on top of the base.
TermMulti year deals are reported at 20 to 35 percent off.
TimingQuarter ends are when reps have the most room.
RenewalSome buyers report features moved to paid add ons at renewal.

    What counts as a workload

Wiz prices by workload. That includes virtual machines, containers and serverless functions across every cloud you connect. Busy cloud setups can have far more of these than a team expects, and the count can change month to month.

Pull a real count from your cloud accounts before the call, and ask how overages are billed if you grow mid contract. Per workload rates fall as you scale, so 5,000 workloads costs nowhere near 50 times what 100 does.

    Why the price is hidden

Software sold this way is priced by the sales team, not by a price list. The rep learns your size, your budget and how badly you need it, then builds a quote. Two companies the same size often pay different amounts for the same product. That is why the numbers on this page come from buyers and analysts, not from the vendor.

How to judge the quote in your hand

    Ways to pay less

    Before you decide

Wiz suits companies with large or fast growing cloud setups across more than one provider. Very small setups, with fewer than a few hundred workloads, can often get basic coverage from the cloud provider's own tools for much less.

Since Google bought Wiz in March 2026, Google Cloud customers should ask whether Wiz can be bundled into their Google spend. Wiz has said it will stay multi cloud.

A last tip: bring a rival quote. Orca Security and Prisma Cloud are the most common alternatives, and Orca is often quoted 15 to 30 percent lower for similar coverage.
