Old Veeva CRM is going away

Veeva is moving customers from its older CRM, built on Salesforce, to Vault CRM, built on its own platform. Since April 1, 2024, new customers can only buy Vault CRM. Guides report that some old custom dashboards, called MyInsights, do not move over on their own and must be rebuilt.

If you still run the old CRM, ask Veeva for the move priced as its own line, and ask whether any old features you pay for today will cost extra on Vault CRM.

    Why the price is hidden

Software sold this way is priced by the sales team, not by a price list. The rep learns your size, your budget and how badly you need it, then builds a quote. Two companies the same size often pay different amounts for the same product. That is why the numbers on this page come from buyers and analysts, not from the vendor.

How to judge the quote in your hand

    Ways to pay less

    Before you decide

Veeva suits drug, biotech and medical device companies that must follow strict rules for how records are kept and changed. Its apps are built around those rules, which is a big part of why it costs more than general software.

Smaller biotechs usually start with one or two Vault apps and pay less than the median. Costs grow fast as a company adds apps, users and countries on the way to selling a drug.

A last tip: get the rival quote. Guides note Salesforce Life Sciences Cloud is now a direct option for CRM, which gives buyers leverage they did not have a few years ago.
