Waterfowl hunters age 16 and older must carry a current Federal Duck Stamp. The 2026-2027 stamp costs $25. It went on sale June 26, 2026 and is valid through June 30, 2027. Anyone can buy one, and a current stamp also works as a free pass into national wildlife refuges.

What this price covers
The Fish and Wildlife Service says 98 percent of each Duck Stamp purchase goes to buying and protecting wetland habitat for the National Wildlife Refuge System.
