What this price covers
What the park says: The entrance fee to the park is $10 for adults 16 years of age and older; children 15 and younger are free. The entrance fee provides the visitor with a 7-day entrance permit to the site. Fees must be paid with credit card as cash payments cannot be accepted. Interagency passes including the Senior, Veteran, and Military passes are honored for the cardholder accompanied by up to three others. Fees collected Memorial Day weekend to October 31.

The $80 America the Beautiful pass works at every national park for 12 months, and covers everyone in one car, or the pass holder plus 3 adults where the fee is per person. US residents 62 and older can buy a $20 annual or $80 lifetime senior pass instead. US military members can get a free pass.
The entrance fee does not cover camping, tours, lodging or shuttles run by private companies.
