Why Firestone has no set price
Car Service Land says Firestone is an offer driven chain, not a menu price chain. There is no flat national price the way Walmart or Jiffy Lube post one. You pay your store's price minus whatever coupon is live. It notes that the old $29.99 standard deal and Pennzoil offer have been replaced by a simpler $15 off any oil change, with a $40 prepaid card by mail if you choose Rotella T6 full synthetic.
Firestone's own price guide says the cost depends on the oil type, your car, how much oil it takes, the filter and local labor rates, and that your store can give an estimate if you call. Car Tips Daily says the $29.99 price is real but is the floor, and to budget $70 to $100 for full synthetic before discounts.
Firestone says its synthetic oil change includes new oil, a new filter and a check of belts, hoses and the underside of the car, as part of a 19 point inspection.
