Terminix termite treatment costs about $1,000 to $3,500 in 2026
Terminix prices termite work after a free inspection of your home. A 2026 guide found most Terminix customers pay $1,000 to $3,500 for the first treatment, plus a yearly renewal, often called a bond, of about $475 to $625 for common subterranean termites. Other guides put Terminix termite plans at about $400 to $1,500 a year.

What Terminix termite treatment costs
| First treatment | $1,000 to $3,500 |
|---|---|
| Yearly renewal, subterranean termites | $475 to $625 |
| Yearly renewal, Formosan termites | $550 to $750 |
| Termite plans, per year, another guide | $400 to $1,500 |

The first year costs the most because it includes the treatment itself. After that, you pay a yearly renewal to keep the protection and the inspections going. What changes your price
- Liquid or bait. Liquid barriers and bait stations are priced differently.
- Home size. More foundation to treat costs more.
- Foundation type. Slabs, crawl spaces and basements take different work.
- Termite type. Formosan termites cost more to cover than common subterranean termites.
- The plan. Higher plans cover more repair costs and cost more each year.
- Your area. Termite pressure and prices are higher in warm southern states.
Liquid barrier or bait stations
TermiteTreatmentPrice.com says Terminix's standard treatment is Termidor SC, a liquid barrier put in the soil around the foundation. For bait, it uses Sentricon stations placed around the house. HomeCostLab explains that a liquid barrier lasts 5 to 10 years, while bait stations kill the colony over weeks and need yearly monitoring.
HomeCostLab puts a liquid barrier for a home with 150 feet of foundation at about $450 to $900 at typical prices, and bait station installs at $1,500 to $3,000 plus $200 to $400 a year. TermiteTreatmentPrice.com says Terminix usually quotes toward the higher end of these ranges, and uses the same chemicals as many smaller companies.
HomeGuide says Terminix offers three termite plans, each with a yearly inspection. Today's Homeowner notes bait and monitoring plans often average about $1,000 a year because of the equipment and visits involved. HomeCostLab says Terminix and Orkin both inspect for free, so the inspection costs you nothing. Terminix compared with other termite companies
HomeGuide puts Terminix termite treatment at $400 to $1,500 a year and Orkin at $500 to $1,600 a year. TermiteTreatmentPrice.com notes that the chemistry Terminix uses is the same as many other companies use, so a local quote is worth getting.

A yearly plan can be worth it where termites are common. TermiteTreatmentPrice.com says damage repairs run from about $300 for small baseboard fixes to $35,000 or more when floor framing is hit, and that home insurance usually does not cover termite damage. It says a plan that covers repairs tends to pay for itself over 10 years in high risk states like Florida, Georgia, Alabama, South Carolina, Louisiana, Texas and Hawaii.
How to judge the price you are quoted
- Ask if the quote is for a liquid barrier or bait stations.
- Ask what the yearly renewal costs after the first year.
- Ask what the plan pays for if termites cause damage later.
- Compare with $1,000 to $3,500 for the first treatment.
Ways to pay less
- Get a second quote from a local termite company.
- Ask if combining termite and pest plans gives a discount.
- Fix leaks and move wood away from the house to lower termite risk.
- Read the renewal terms before you sign, since you pay them every year.
