What changes your price
- Membership. Members pay much less per massage than walk in guests.
- Length. A 90 minute session costs more than an hour.
- Your location. Big city clinics charge more than smaller towns.

How the membership works
Massage Envy is built around its membership. Salon Prices says the monthly fee of about $70 to $85 includes one 1 hour credit you can use for a massage, facial or stretch. It says the usual agreement is 12 months, after which it goes month to month, and you normally need to give 30 days written notice to cancel.
Unused credits roll over while you stay a member. Salon Price Listo says credits usually roll over for 6 to 12 months and can then expire, and that higher tiers of about $100 to $160 a month give longer or extra sessions. Massage Envy Prices says members often get extra massages in the same month for less, sometimes $40 to $65 for another hour.
The walk in price is set high on purpose. Salon Prices points out that the non member rate makes the membership look like a better deal, and that you should expect a membership pitch after your first visit. It is fine to say no. Is a Massage Envy membership worth it?
Do the simple math. If you would book a massage every month anyway, the membership price of about $60 to $85 is well below the walk in price of about $99 to $150. If you would only go every few months, the membership can cost more than paying as you go, because you keep paying each month.
Massage Envy Prices says same day cancellations are often charged about half the service price, and a no show is often charged in full, so book times you can keep. Tips are extra. Salon Prices suggests 15% to 20% of the full non member price.
