Docusign CLM costs $25,000 to $100,000 plus a year
Docusign CLM is a contract management tool. It helps you write, track and store contracts, not just sign them. Docusign does not publish its price. Most companies pay $25,000 to $100,000 plus a year before setup. For a team of about 30 users, the all in cost works out to roughly $45 to $75 per user a month.

CLM is not eSignature
Most people know Docusign for signing documents. That product has a public price. CLM is a different product, sold with its own subscription. It is not an upgrade to eSignature, so if you need both, you pay for both.
This matters on the sales call. If you already pay for eSignature, ask what the two cost together, and ask for the CLM price on its own. The rise each year also matters. At 5 to 8 percent, a $50,000 contract passes $60,000 within three years unless you cap it.
Why the price is hidden
Software sold this way is priced by the sales team, not by a price list. The rep learns your size, your budget and how badly you need it, then builds a quote. Two companies the same size often pay different amounts for the same product. That is why the numbers on this page come from buyers and analysts, not from the vendor.
How to judge the quote in your hand
- Ask for the CLM price and the eSignature price separately, then together.
- Ask for the all in number: licence, setup, training and support for year one.
- Ask what renewal looks like in year two and three, in writing.
- Get a second quote from a rival and say so on the call.
- Buy at quarter end, when reps chase targets.
- Cut seats and modules you will not use in the first 90 days.
Ways to pay less
- Cap the yearly rise in writing before you sign a multi year deal.
- Pay yearly if the discount is real, not just a rounding of the monthly price.
- Start on the lowest tier and upgrade when you hit a wall.
- Ask for the setup fee to be waived or split over the year.
- Check the free trial or demo before you sign anything.
Before you decide
Count your contracts before the call. How many do you send a year, and how many templates do you use? A team with a few standard contracts needs much less than a legal team handling hundreds of custom deals. The answer decides which tier makes sense.
Check the exit terms as well. Years of signed contracts are hard to move. Ask how you export them, in what format, and whether export costs extra. Try a sample export during the trial.
One more thing to ask: who owns the setup work? If Docusign's own team does it, you pay by the hour. If a partner does it, get a fixed price. Either way, agree what done looks like before work starts.
