Medical Cost Info says most conditions need 6 to 12 sessions, and chronic conditions may need maintenance every 2 to 4 weeks. Think Acupuncture works out eight sessions at $90 to $150 as $720 to $1,200.
CostInsightHub and Medical Cost Info say Medicare covers up to 12 sessions for chronic low back pain. GoodRx says Medicare covers acupuncture only for that. A 2019 study cited by GoodRx found average visits of $112 for a first visit and $80 for follow ups.
