Does insurance cover a breast lift?
Most health insurance plans do not cover a cosmetic breast lift or its complications, ASPS says. GoodRx notes plans often do cover a lift when it is part of breast reconstruction after a mastectomy.
Many surgeons offer financing. Ask for one all in quote that lists the surgeon, anesthesia, facility and follow up care.

Before you decide
Lift or implants?
A lift raises and reshapes the breast by removing extra skin. It does not add size. Implants add size but do not fix sagging. Some patients need both. See our breast implants cost page.
Plan for about a week or two off work, and ask your surgeon what follow up visits are included in the price.
Scars fade over months but do not disappear. Ask to see before and after photos of the surgeon's own patients with a similar starting shape, and ask how revisions are priced if you are not happy with the result.
What the consultation should cover
A good consultation covers your health history, the type of lift that fits your shape, where the scars will be, how long recovery takes and the full price in writing. Many surgeons charge a consultation fee that is credited toward surgery if you book. Bring a list of questions and ask for the patient decision material to take home.
