A dental bridge costs $3,010 to $7,900 in 2026
Pearl's May 2026 figures, built on ADA fee survey data, put a 3 unit bridge, which replaces one missing tooth, at $3,010 to $7,900, about $4,620 on average. Most PPO plans pay about 50 percent up to the yearly maximum, so you may still pay a lot yourself.

Suburban and community offices often charge 15 to 30 percent less than dense metro practices.
Bridge or implant: the real trade off
A bridge fills a gap with a false tooth held by crowns on the teeth either side. Pearl notes it usually takes two visits and does not need surgery. The catch is that healthy neighbor teeth are shaved down to hold the crowns, and if one of them fails, the whole bridge usually has to be replaced.
A single dental implant costs about the same or more once the crown is added, but it can last 20 years or more and leaves the other teeth alone. A partial denture is the cheapest way to fill gaps but comes out at night.
How to judge the quote in your hand
- Ask for an implant quote to compare.
- Ask how many units and the per unit fee.
- Ask which material.
- Ask about build ups.
- Ask how long it should last.
Ways to pay less
- Use your PPO plan across two calendar years if you can.
- Check a dental school clinic.
- Compare a partial denture.
- Ask about financing.
