What Salesforce Health Cloud posts, and what it leaves out
Health Cloud is Salesforce software for patient and member care. Hospitals, health plans and life science firms use it. It posts some prices on its own site, but most buyers still get a custom quote.
One advisor says Shield adds about 30 percent of the base license. Agentforce conversations are billed at $2 each. Annual uplifts of 8 to 10 percent are common in order forms.
Why quotes vary so much
Salesforce Health Cloud is sold deal by deal. There is no fixed price, so the quote reflects your size, your urgency and the time of year. Two firms with the same headcount can be quoted amounts far apart. This page shows the range buyers actually report, with the source for each number.
Because the bill is per user, per month, the quote grows with every seat you add. Count the seats you will really use before the call.
How to judge the quote in your hand
- Ask for multi-year discounts, reported at 20 to 35 percent.
- Cap yearly uplifts at 3 to 5 percent.
- Ask for the all in number: licence, setup, training and support for year one.
- Ask what renewal looks like in year two and three, in writing.
- Get a second quote from a rival and say so on the call.
- Buy at quarter end, when reps chase targets.
- Cut seats and modules you will not use in the first 90 days.
Ways to pay less
- Use cheaper platform licenses for back-office staff.
- Question add-ons one by one.
- Get implementation fees in writing.
- Pay yearly if the discount is real, not just a rounding of the monthly price.
- Start on the lowest tier and upgrade when you hit a wall.
- Ask for the setup fee to be waived or split over the year.
- Check the free trial or demo before you sign anything.
