How we calculate this
Prices are for the United States in 2026 from published cost guides, checked September 2026. This is an estimate, not a quote.
What Brandwatch buyers pay
| Median contract | About $50,000 a year, from 40 purchases. |
|---|---|
| Range of deals | About $19,542 to $81,200 a year. |
| Monthly guides | About $800 to $15,000 or more a month, billed yearly. |
| All three product lines | Often more than $100,000 a year. |
| Setup | From a few thousand dollars up to 10 to 15 percent of the contract. |
What pushes a quote up
| Queries | The number of topics and brands you track sets the base price. |
|---|---|
| Users | Extra seats beyond the plan cost more. |
| History | One year of past data is standard. Longer costs extra. |
| Products | Consumer Intelligence, social management and influencer tools are priced apart. |
| Term | Two and three year deals are reported to cut 15 to 25 percent. |
Small team plans are gone
Brandwatch used to sell a small Essentials plan. CheckThat reports it was dropped, and the company now sells only custom contracts to bigger teams. That is why the cheapest deals in the data start near $15,000 to $20,000 a year, not a few hundred dollars a month.
Watch the extras too. CheckThat puts the full cost at 1.5 to 2 times the base price once you add setup, custom reports, extra history and support. Compare our Talkwalker, Meltwater and Sprinklr pages for rivals.
Why the price is hidden
Software sold this way is priced by the sales team, not by a price list. The rep learns your size, your budget and how badly you need it, then builds a quote. Two companies the same size often pay different amounts for the same product. That is why the numbers on this page come from buyers and analysts, not from the vendor.
How to judge the quote in your hand
- Ask which product lines the quote covers, and buy only the ones you will use.
- Ask for the all in number: licence, setup, training and support for year one.
- Ask what renewal looks like in year two and three, in writing.
- Get a second quote from a rival and say so on the call.
- Buy at quarter end, when reps chase targets.
- Cut seats and modules you will not use in the first 90 days.
Ways to pay less
- Ask for the auto renewal date in writing, and any cap on yearly increases.
- Pay yearly if the discount is real, not just a rounding of the monthly price.
- Start on the lowest tier and upgrade when you hit a wall.
- Ask for the setup fee to be waived or split over the year.
- Check the free trial or demo before you sign anything.
Before you decide
Brandwatch suits research and insight teams that study consumer opinion over long periods and need deep history. It is strong for reports to leaders and for crisis tracking.
If you only need alerts when your brand is mentioned, a lighter tool will cost far less. Brandwatch earns its price when someone owns the searches and dashboards.
A last tip: ask what unused capacity does at renewal. Guides say that term matters as much as the first quote.)();
